Only One Application
Permagard is applied once. The Permagard coating is applied the first time as the “initial application”. After the initial application has been completed, Permagard customers may enter into a 5-year warranty that is upheld through the Permagard Maintenance Program. Every 12 months (plus or minus 1 month), the Permagard coating receives a Permagard Service Treatment, which deeps cleans the treated surfaces. This is to keep the Permagard coating in good standing with the Permagard Maintenance Program over the 5-year warranty period. This also allows customers to benefit from increased gloss readings from year to year as opposed to lower gloss readings if the aircraft paint is not protected by Permagard.
